DESIGN

The 2008 SUV Allure Premium delivers an intuitive, safe and agile drive with the innovative layout of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®. The leather-trimmed sports steering wheel, which sits lower than a traditional design, ensures that your arms are lower and closer together, which reduces driver fatigue and offers more precise steering and improved manoeuvrability.

The head-up instrument panel allows driver information to be viewed above, rather than through, the steering wheel and is accessed without taking your eyes off the road. In addition, the 7”multifunction colour touchscreen places all the functionality at the driver’s fingertips.

This compact SUV also offers space, convenience and practicality with a low loading boot height of 60cm and 1/3-2/3 modular rear seats which allow conversion of the boot volume from 410 litres to 1400 litres. Pressing the button at the top of the backrest is enough to tilt the back allowing the seats to fold down automatically into a completely flat floor.

TECHNOLOGY

image
This is the conduit to all the audio and communications equipment, including DAB Digital radio and Bluetooth® connectivity. Compatible with an iPhone 5 or above, calls and text messages can be dictated using Apple CarPlay™ functionality, providing voice activation for the driver, meaning compatible and safe applications such as Apple Maps, Spotify and call features, can be activated and used without the need to remove your hands from the wheel.
image
This adapted traction control system responds to most terrains and weather conditions. It acts on the front wheels by adjusting wheel spin and torque to optimise traction in low-grip conditions.

Versatile and adaptable, the Grip Control® dial located on the centre console lets you choose the appropriate mode (Standard; Snow; Mud; Sand & ESP Off) for the surface you encounter. The system uses electronic components that are already installed in the car meaning that it adds no extra weight and therefore no excessive fuel consumption, unlike a traditional 4x4.
